Hello, I am Jason Garrison. I am a UX Researcher with a focus on Qualitative data-gathering.
I'm driven to help people humanize and solve problems through story, empathy, and asking great questions. I do that by creating a safe and human research environment to understand peopleβs needs. I then draw on my background and training to analyze and synthesize complex data into themes. Lastly, I focus on straightforward storytelling, communicating insights toward solving specific problems.
I started my career as a teacher, creating learning experiences for my international students. Later, I coordinated a human-centered design project for vulnerable populations in Southeast Asia. I conducted mixed-methods research to gather insights and improve our programs with greater accessibility, creativity, and enjoyment.
As a UX Researcher, Iβve executed research for a range of audiences, from the worldβs largest search engine, leading global social media companies, global banks, and multiple Fortune 500s to agile startups. In addition to leading research projects end-to-end, Iβve utilized Embedded Ethnography to highlight key Research Operations gaps and provided impactful recommendations that increased the value of UX Research within the organization.
